NEW - CEFX '09/'10 Lithium 1/10 Oval Conversion Kit   Date: Sunday 11 October, 2009
News Summary:
Heading into the 2009/2010 indoor season, the Lithium has recieved minor updates to maximize it's potential for the switch from 2S to 1S Lipo batteries.

News Content:
In late 2008, CEFX released the Lithium 1/10 Oval Conversion kit and was quick to impress many die-hard oval racers. The Lithium broke many of the "rules" of design with conventional oval cars with pod length, t-bar placement, weight balance, chassis shape and stiffness. The combination of these things though made the Lithium one of the fastest, most consistent and easiest to drive 1/10 oval cars on the market. This became immediately evident with racers breaking track records and winning races. From the TQ and near victories at the Snowbirds to the TQ's and wins at BRL events, CEFX destroyed the conventional "rules" of oval racing chassis design.

For the 2009/2010 season, we've built on the race experience from last year to further improve the Lithium especially for the 1S 3.7v Lipo racing:

First, the chassis was modified for new battery tape slots and locating screws/nuts for the 1S Lipo. The speed control has been moved to the front of the cross brace and the chassis has been shortened in front of the left rear. There is still enough room for lead to be added there. In addition, we added more graphite inside of the left front tire so racers had more room to add weight as close to the left front tire as possible. Being the Lithium is so light, this allows the racers to tune the weight bias of the car in the most important areas.

Next, we know a lot of racers didn't like the short left rear body post so it has been moved down to the chassis and the rear shock tower/cross brace has the extra body post mount removed. Also, the shape has been revised for a lower CG and easier clearance for the wires under the side shocks.

The rear pod remains the same but the new .072" t-bar has been "slim" cut to soften the t-bar to that of last years popular .062" but with the durability of the .072". A little added piece of mind that your t-bar won't break in just any crash but you still have the performance without compromise for this season.

Last, the color. For the past few years, CEFX has sported the green anodized aluminum but for this season that all changes. All CEFX aluminum parts are now being black anodized and some parts hard black anodized. Since our kit is only a conversion, this allows racers to have a black, stealthy looking car that doesn't clash with other various parts from other mfg's that they may use to complete their Lithium kit.

Overall, the Lithium is the same great race car from last year but with minor revisions to improve the handling, durability and appearance. We feel this makes the '09 Lithium one of the top 1/10 oval cars on the market in price and performance, but we'll let you decide!

Good Luck!
