Just in time for Christmas the Lithium AP Upgrade Kits are ready to begin shipping December 22nd!! This upgrade kit allows CEFX racers to convert their Lithium into a Lithium AP (Advanced Pivot). Included in this news are several other new items for oval racers looking for that edge while preparing for the 2010 Snowbirds!
The Lithium AP is built on our existing platform with only minor modifications.
#1 - New Pivot Bar - In place of a t-bar, the AP will use a graphite pivot bar that uses two additional pivot sockets that wrap around the sides of the rear pod. This reduces pod lenght futher and allows for t-bar free front/back suspension travel.
#2 - New Bottom Plates - To mount the new Pivot Bar, there will be new bottom plates. Due to the amount of steering the car had at the test, we will make 0 and .25 degree plates to start.
#3 - New Center Shock Mount - Because of the new position that the pod pivots from, the center shock needs to be mounted much lower for correct shock geometry. Personally, I think it looks cool and definatly has a lower CG.
That is it.... 3 simple parts to turn the current Lithium into the Lithium AP. More steering, more rear traction, smoother over bumps and most importantly easy to build and drive. No messing with links that you will have to get set at perfect lenghts, no pod bind or worrying about slop or play.
For those that will get these parts for their current Lithium - You will only have to dremel a little bit off the back corner of the chassis for clearance. You will only need a sanding drum and a few minutes to make this fit. I am adjusting the chassis we are cutting here that will come in the current back ordered Lithium kits to already have this clearance cut into them.

Lithium Left .5" Hub - Designed to be the lightest standard hub on the market, this hub's unique design uses 3/48 x .25" screws rather than the large 4-40 x .3125" screws to further reduce spinning weight.
Lithium Right 1.22" Hub - Designed to build the lightest axle assembly on the market, this hub is used in conjunction with a 1/12 size axle. The large barrel end allows for easy differential adjustment.
1/10 Brace Tubes - These brace tubes are used to tune the front end flexability of the Lithium or Griffin 10 cars to increase corner speed. You can tune these brace tubes with CEFX's 3 different hardness o-rings or spacers for a solid fit. The tubes have been made short enough to accomidate all front end widths as well as optional shimming for longer upper a-arms.
